Summary

Job Title: Senior Support Worker
Reports To: Home Manager / Deputy Manager / Nurse
Location: Norwich, Norfolk

About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our care team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting dignity, independence, and person-centred care.
You will also take on leadership responsibilities within the team, including conducting supervisions and appraisals, supporting care planning, and mentoring support workers to ensure high standards of care are consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities

- Support residents with personal care, ensuring dignity, respect, and independence at all times.
- Recognise and respond to the daily needs of residents.
- Conduct staff supervisions and contribute to performance appraisals.
- Assist in developing and reviewing care plans.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to care staff.
- Work collaboratively with the wider care team to maintain high-quality care standards.
- Ensure effective communication with residents, families, and colleagues.

Skills and Experience

- Previous experience in a senior care or support role.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A caring, empathetic, and compassionate approach.

Qualifications

- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
