General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look-out for a full-time Security Compliance Coordinator to join our Facilities Team, based in Merthyr Tydfil. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favourable salary of £24,524 to £28,500 based on experience and potential. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally. Joining an established team, the successful candidate will assist in providing the organisation with the physical security elements required to maintain operational preparedness for robust security, incidents and events. Responsible to ensure that appropriate levels of security are in place in order to protect assets and contribute to overall national security. The Security Compliance Coordinator will assist organising the company’s response to security related matters in a thorough manner. This will include organisation of classified projects and materials, site visits, personnel, security incidents and communications, and monitoring of key security information to provide assurance and delivery of operational service and efficiency. To assist in departmental compliance with relevant legislation, policy, regulation and guidance, and providing site/facility/estate level implementation of these through site security procedures and processes, underpinned through robust assurance activities. - Overall responsible for managing, accounting and mustering classified materials.
- Appointed Assistant for GDLSUK Crypto accounts.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining organisational communications in accordance with HMG policy and standards.
- Support in security audits.
- Delivery of bespoke awareness training and education related to security.
- Ensure all official security records and paperwork is administered effectively
- Support incident/breach investigations utilising security infrastructure.
- Control of visitors to all sites across General Dynamics UK Limited, liaising with the relevant authorities, other FSC companies and GD Export to ensure relevant levels of clearance for all visitors.
- Liaison with Reception staff on the appropriate access permitted for visitors.
- Willingness to travel to other sites.
- Managing site access controls for staff and contractors
- Adhering to strict protocols for handling, storing and transmitting classified materials.
- Writing and implement policies to ensure full compliance of handling, storing and securing classified material
- Support in additional security day to day tasks.
- Ability to gain UKSV Security Clearance.
- Experience in Physical & Personnel Security
- Experience in Security vendor contracts
- Understanding of GDPR requirements for handling personal data
- Defence Security Training to include, vetting process, classified document handling, International travel & contract security (Desirable)
- Thorough knowledge of the risk management process.
- Sound understanding of the departmental and security landscape.
- An understanding of the threats
- Information gathering skills.
- An understanding of the boundaries of responsibilities.
- Knowledge of the minimum standards set out in the GovS 007.
- An understanding of departmental business drivers.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Abilily to deal with sensitive situations with total discretion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
