Summary
*Although primarily based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the post holder may have to work across any of the UHB sites, depending on the needs of the undergraduate programmes. Additional Responsibilities *In addition to supporting medical students, the post holder may be asked to teach on other healthcare programmes, including Dental and Physician Associate students, as required. *The post holder will work closely with Lead Teachers from consultant staff, who oversee the delivery of specialty modules. This collaboration will help ensure that students receive a comprehensive and cohesive educational experience. *The post holder will work as part of a dedicated team, which includes the Head and Deputy Heads of Academy, Lead Teachers, Undergraduate Managers, Senior Undergraduate Managers, and a team of Undergraduate Coordinators. This collaborative team structure ensures that there is comprehensive support for all teaching activities. *The Trust has excellent teaching and support facilities within the Education Centres, which are equipped with modern resources to facilitate interactive and engaging learning experiences for students. *The post holder will work closely with the Undergraduate Medical Education teaching leads to provide feedback through the University's and Deanery's Quality Assurance processes. This ensures that all teaching activities meet the expected standards for accreditation and compliance. There will be time for the post holder to ensure that clinical practice is kept up-to-date and to undertake a programme of continued professional development. The nature of this will be negotiated with the successful candidates. This is arranged to fit around the teaching responsibilities; with the expectation that at least 80% of the time is spent teaching.
