Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day brings a new challenge?My client is a specialist provider of sub-contract pump solutions, and due to continued growth across multiple regions, are looking for a Regional Engineer to join their operations team.About the RoleAs a Regional Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the equipment are installed, serviced, and maintained to the highest standard. You’ll be hands-on, customer-facing, and trusted to deliver high-quality engineering support both on site and at the depot.Your work will include:Assessing pump suitability for customer requirementsInstalling engineered pump systems on-siteResponding to service and breakdown calls (including occasional out-of-hours work)Providing technical support to customers and colleaguesCarrying out repairs and maintenance on diesel-driven pumpsWorking with maintenance software to plan and log activitiesEnsuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standardsYou’ll be part of a strong regional team, reporting into the Senior Regional Engineer and working closely with the Regional Operations Manager.Qualifications ">We’re looking for someone who has:An HNC or City ">Experience working with mechanical, diesel or heavy equipmentAdditional electrical knowledge (advantageous)A full driving licence (towing ability beneficial)Good physical fitness and understanding of manual handlingExperience in the machinery hire industry (desirable)Experience You’ll BringStrong background in mechanical engineering, servicing, or repairConfidence working on diesel-driven pumps or similar equipmentAbility to plan, coordinate and execute work efficientlyExperience reading drawings, technical specs, and carrying out risk assessmentsComfortable working independently and as part of a wider teamPersonal AttributesTo excel in this role, you will be someone who is:Positive, proactive, and solution-focusedAble to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong communicator with great interpersonal skillsConfident managing on-site personnel and liaising with customersCapable of flexible working, including responding to emergency call-outsHappy working independently using lone-working proceduresWhat You’ll Be Doing Day-to-DayYour responsibilities will include:Prioritising mechanical engineering work to provide excellent service to customersInstalling, repairing, and maintaining diesel-driven pump systemsProviding technical reports and feedback to the engineering teamEnsuring your vehicle and equipment are maintained to company standardsOrdering spare parts and managing stock requirementsSupporting depot audits and stock takesAssisting engineers and customers with technical information and troubleshooting
