An exciting part-time opportunity has arisen to join the Disability and Dyslexia Support Service as a Senior Administrator (Finance).
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships. You will have strong administrative and IT skills, working across a range of platforms including financial software. Good financial record keeping and a keen eye for detail is important. Experience in finance administration and budgeting is essential.
The Disability and Dyslexia Support Service is a friendly and confidential service who support disabled students and applicants and the University staff who support them. The key focus of your role will be the financial administration of support for disabled students including reclaiming Disabled Students Allowances costs for postgraduate research students. You will collaborate with Disability Advisers, Mental Health Advisers and Administrative colleagues within the Disability and Dyslexia Support Service (DDSS) to ensure that disabled students receive support for their studies.
For this role, you will:


- Have a passion for supporting students to succeed in their University experience

- Have demonstrable experience of financial administration and budgeting

- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders including students, colleagues, University staff and external support organisations

- Possess strong interpersonal and organisational skills, acting with tact and diplomacy (and maintaining confidentiality) at all times

- Have a flexible approach and be able to work on your own initiativeYour contribution will support the work of the DDSS team and enhance the experience of disabled students and applicants.
