Summary

Job Title: Senior Sales Consultant
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday
Location: Home based within the UK, with travel as required
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, with up to £55,000 OTE

Are you a results-driven sales professional who enjoys the challenge of winning new business and seeing the direct impact of your success? Join us as a Senior Sales Consultant and take the lead in driving growth for Medigold's Protect service, building strong client relationships and converting opportunities into revenue.

In this role, you’ll own the full sales cycle; identifying and developing new opportunities, managing your pipeline, and closing deals across a diverse client base. You’ll confidently promote the value of the Protect service, build rapport quickly with prospective clients, and handle everything from initial conversations through to proposals, tenders, and final negotiations. Alongside new business, you’ll maximise opportunities to upsell additional services, ensuring clients get the most from our offering while increasing overall revenue.

You’ll stay closely connected with the wider sales and marketing teams, contributing to campaigns, sharing insights, and supporting strategic growth. You’ll also represent the business at meetings, events, and workshops, helping to raise awareness and position Protect as a trusted solution in the market.

Main Objectives

Achieve an agreed annual sales target.

Build rapport with potential new clients through to closing sales.

Actively manage a pipeline of open opportunities from initial contact to closing sale.

Manage tender processes for Protect bids, including bid writing.

Attend meetings both virtually and face to face throughout the UK.

Support with attendance at workshops, talking to audiences, promoting our services via various exercises.

Support Protect Sales Manager with assigned tasks and projects.

Maintain good house-keeping using the Salesforce system.

Weekly contact with wider Protect Sales Team, for team focus and strategy discussions.

Foster a self-motivating approach, in a challenging home-based virtual environment.

Work with the marketing team for client branded documents where required.


Specific Responsibilities

Work to achieve a set annual sales target and receive commission payable on these sales.

Manage open opportunities with the aim of closing sales; make initial contact, follow up calls and emails, attend virtual meetings, attend face to face meetings, perform online portal demonstrations, create and submit tailored proposals etc.

Manage tenders for Protect bids; register interest, pre-tender qualification questions, tender writing and submission, attend meetings, pricing negotiations etc.

Manage Protect opportunities that consist of larger entity, made up of a group of small businesses i.e. education trusts and business groups. More relationship building will be expected, as well as higher level Account Management to be agreed during a manual implementation process.

Support with the management of partnership relationships, that generate leads for the Protect service, as and when lead by the Protect Sales Manager.

Attend seminars, workshops and events accordingly, to increase awareness and promote Protect.

Good active house-keeping withing the Salesforce system.

Contribute to Protect projects as and when allocated by the Protect Sales Manager.

Work to the agreed Protect annual marketing and sales plan, which continues to develop based on trends and patterns throughout an annual period.

Excellent understanding of the occupational health industry, our competitors, sales techniques and other areas of focus.

Work with the marketing team on Protect related campaigns and lead generation initiatives.

Attend internal recurring calls with the Protect team.


Requirements for this role

Essential

Minimum 3-5 years experience within a Sales Consultant role

Experience selling subscription-based solutions or services

MEDDPICC or alternative proven sales methodology sales

Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding £500,000k ACV

Successfully closed deal size averages between £3k -40k+

360 Pipeline management with self – lead generation sales record achieved

Multistakeholder management selling

An excellent knowledge of Microsoft Tools, Salesforce and other relevant software (further training will be provided)

Desirable

Experience working within the small and medium sized business sector
