Summary
Are you an innovative and forward-looking clinical neuropsychologist with outstanding clinical knowledge, extensive experience, and a passion for high quality NHS provision? Do you have a record of successful clinical leadership in this speciality, experience of strategic working, and the ability to work effectively across services and specialisms?
Are you energetic and ready for your next career move?
Then this exciting Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist post (three days a week/0.6wte) may be for you.
We are searching for someone with extensive expertise in clinical neuropsychology, and a collaborative and strategic approach, to provide clinical and professional leadership for our neuropsychology provision across Berkshire.
You will work clinically in your area of specialism (a background in older adults and dementia services is ideal). There is some flexibility for hybrid working, but you will be required to be in the office and travel to sites across Berkshire as needed.
We are committed to high quality care, and you will have experience of leading and developing both services and staff, implementing governance frameworks, and collaborating across services, roles, and systems to benefit service users and staff.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape provision: Working with colleagues from across the Trust and other agencies, you will have the opportunity to take a leading role in focussing and progressing our psychological care and delivery.
While you will work clinically in your service of specialism (preferably older adults and dementia but, for the right person, we may consider other areas), you will have the specialist expertise and broad experience to supervise and govern neuropsychological practise in physical, mental health and learning disability services for people across the life span.
You will provide clinical leadership, oversight and governance across our clinical neuropsychology provision. You will ensure our qualified and trainee psychologists, who deliver neuropsychological assessments and interventions in our services, have strong clinical leadership, high quality supervision and good support.
This is a stretching role as you will need to work, collaborate, and influence strategic planning across all our divisions, so it requires someone with excellent interpersonal and strategic skills.
You will be joining a strong psychological leadership group and be supported to develop your clinical leadership and change management skills, while continuing to use your expertise, supervision, consultation, training and governance skills to enhance patient and staff well-being.
