About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a specialist UK engineering manufacturer, renowned for producing high-quality automotive exhausts and precision stainless steel components. You will work with jigs and fixtures to fabricate full exhaust assemblies as well as smaller sub-components, maintaining exceptional quality standards on every weld.

This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, precision, and pride in your craft are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG weld full exhaust systems and smaller stainless steel components with accuracy.

  
  

• Work efficiently within jigs and fixtures to ensure components are held square and aligned.

  
  

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

  
  

• Carry out finishing tasks: grinding, cleaning, and de-spattering to deliver defect-free welds.

  
  

• Maintain welding equipment and report any issues promptly.

  
  

• Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times.

  
  

• Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements.

  
  

  Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in MIG welding, preferably stainless steel.

    
    

  • Ability to deliver high-quality welds consistently and meet tight tolerances.

    
    

  • Experience working with jigs/fixtures and interpreting engineering drawings.

    
    

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills.

    
    

  • Welding certification is an advantage but not essential.
