About the Role
We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a specialist UK engineering manufacturer, renowned for producing high-quality automotive exhausts and precision stainless steel components. You will work with jigs and fixtures to fabricate full exhaust assemblies as well as smaller sub-components, maintaining exceptional quality standards on every weld.
This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, precision, and pride in your craft are essential.
Key Responsibilities

MIG weld full exhaust systems and smaller stainless steel components with accuracy.

Work efficiently within jigs and fixtures to ensure components are held square and aligned.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Carry out finishing tasks: grinding, cleaning, and de-spattering to deliver defect-free welds.

Maintain welding equipment and report any issues promptly.

Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times.

Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements.
Skills & Experience

Proven experience in MIG welding, preferably stainless steel.

Ability to deliver high-quality welds consistently and meet tight tolerances.

Experience working with jigs/fixtures and interpreting engineering drawings.

Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills.

Welding certification is an advantage but not essential.
