Summary

Extended schools - Deputy Lead We love Hollymount and as our after school and holiday club grows we are looking to recruit a deputy lead to work closely alongside Natalie our Extended schools lead provide the best possible wrap around care at Hollymount. This includes after school and holiday club provision as well as work throughout the school day. Purpose of the job The Extended Schools Deputy Lead works closely with the Extended Schools Lead and SLT to help co-run high-quality after school and holiday club provision. They manage the smooth day-to-day supervision of children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, positive behaviour, and always safeguarding, under the guidance of the strategic role of the Extended Schools Lead. The role manages engaging social and educational activities, preparing daily snacks on a shared rota, and manages resources and stock.
As part of the leadership structure for extended schools, the Deputy Lead guides and supports staff, deputising for the Extended Schools Lead, when needed, modelling excellent practice and promoting a consistent, child-centred approach. They engage proactively with the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to discussions, sharing information, and supporting operational decisions. In addition, the Deputy Lead supports the strategic development of the extended schools’ provision and deputises for the Extended Schools Lead to ensure the clubs consistently operate to an excellent standard.Working pattern This position is an all year round position with annual leave entitlement of 27.5 days. The hours in term time are 12:00 until 18:00 and in the holidays they are 8:00 until 18:00. Holiday can be booked in term time and holiday time working around the clubs and after school club provision.
