Summary

Housing Income Officer
£28,598 - £33,699 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, compassionate and empathetic candidate to join the Housing Income Team in the important role of Housing Income officer. You will be joining a team who are dedicated in ensuring it reaches high levels of income collection, whilst at the same time collecting with care.

You will be supporting customers in ensuring they have all benefits in place including universal credit housing costs, housing benefits, council tax reduction, enabling access to household support funds, referrals for specialist support, where a need is identified.

Whilst the role is primarily to ensure rent is collected and enforcing breach of tenancy conditions for nonpayment of rent, you will be working in an environment where all possible support is offered in particular during the recovery process.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an income recovery, have an existing knowledge of welfare benefits and giving budgeting advice (although training will be provided), have excellent team and communication skills.

You must be hardworking with eye for detail and have a genuine passion for working together as part of a team to provide the best service possible to our customers.
