We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented person to join our team at
The Montine Food company.
The role is based in a FROZEN STORAGE environment and plays a key part in ensuring accurate order picking, stock control, and smooth operations.
Responsibilities
• Picking and preparing customer orders accurately within frozen storage areas.
• Receiving goods in, checking deliveries against paperwork, and reporting discrepancies.
• Putting stock away correctly and maintaining organised storage areas.
• Carrying out regular stock takes and assisting with inventory control.
• Ensuring correct stock rotation (FIFO) and date checks.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
• Always following health and safety procedures, particularly in cold environments.
• Assisting with loading and preparation of goods for dispatch.
• Reporting damages, shortages, or quality issues to the relevant manager.
• Supporting general warehouse duties as required during the shift.
Skills & Experience
• Previous cold store experience preferred (but not essential)
• Forklift experience preferred (but not essential)
• Comfortable working in chilled and frozen conditions.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately at pace.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for stock checks and paperwork.
Please note this position is working in a large freezer and will require heavy lifting.
