Hays are working in partnership with a long‑established manufacturer within the agricultural and construction sector to recruit an Agriculture Sales Executive on a 9‑month contract. The organisation is highly respected for producing durable, high‑quality technical products used across modern farming and infrastructure settings. You will be joining a supportive, close‑knit sales team with a strong reputation in the market.
Your new role
As the Agriculture Sales Executive, you will play a key role in converting enquiries, developing customer relationships, and maximising sales opportunities across a wide portfolio of agricultural products. You will engage daily with customers by phone, email, and face‑to‑face, ensuring quotations are accurate, pipelines are well‑managed, and orders are secured at agreed profit margins.
You will work closely with planning, production, technical, and despatch teams to ensure customer needs and delivery timelines are met. The role also includes attending agricultural shows, customer visits, site meetings and industry events across NI, ROI, and the UK. This is a proactive, commercially focused role suited to someone who can hit the ground running with strong agricultural knowledge.
What you'll need to succeed
- Recent experience in sales, account management or a customer‑facing role
- Strong knowledge of the agricultural sector and farming environments
- Ability to confidently advise customers on suitable products and solutions
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a fast‑paced workload
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across NI, ROI, and the UK
- Ability to work effectively within a busy, collaborative sales team
