Your new company
My client, a global biopharmaceutical company with a goal of contributing to healthcare innovation and environmental sustainability. They are focused on improving people's quality of life, specialising in Oncology, neurology and rare diseases, and have a position available for Medical Publications and Communications Manager to join their team for a 6-month initial contract within their Rare Disease arena.


Part - Time - 3 - 4 days a week

Remote - Must be based in UK

Your new role
As the Global Medical Publications and Communications Lead - Rare Disease, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the publication strategy and scientific communication plans for assigned rare disease products and indications across the product lifecycle (from R&D to postmarketing).


You will optimise the reach, engagement, and impact of study results, internally and externally, through sophisticated publication packages in line with the therapeutic area objectives and compliance considerations.


You will bring scientific and medical research results to the scientific community, healthcare professionals, patients and their caregivers with integrity and accuracy in a transparent, efficient, effective, and timely manner.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to apply for the Medical Publications and Communication Manager role, you must possess:
A scientific degree, PhD preferred, ideally CMPP or ISMPP certified.

Demonstrated experience of publications and medical communications management in a pharmaceutical company

Proven experience in publication planning and project management, coordinating the production and delivery of multiple documents, including experience with Datavision

Excellent knowledge of industry regulations and ethical standards related to publications such as Good Publication Practice (GPP) and International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE)

Proven experience of scientific medical writing in a business environment

Experience of developing Scientific Communication PlatformsRare Disease therapy knowledge
