Summary
Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is seeking a Assistant Director of Sales to join the pre-opening team for this highly anticipated new luxury hotel opening later this year.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hospitality leader to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.
Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants - Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud - bringing together two of the world’s most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world-class spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and a collection of grand event spaces, including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

What will I be doing?
We are looking for hospitality professionals who are passionate about delivering an exceptional five star guest experience, consistently upholding the world class service standards recognised by Forbes.
As Assistant Director of Sales, you will be responsible for working closely with the Director of Sales to generate and drive consortia based leisure revenues from UK, Europe, Asia, Australia & CIS.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Manage hotel sales and marketing plans to ensure they accurately interpret and support the objectives of the business and use these plans to focus the sales efforts for defined segment and markets.
- Become the on-property champion for ‘Hilton For Luxury,’ ensuring collaboration between hotel teams to achieve successful delivery of program.
- Undertake sales trips within defined territories, attend tradeshows and ‘Hilton For Luxury’ events as required.
- Collaborate and partner with Hilton Worldwide Sales Luxury teams.
- Ensure accurate maintenance and updating of consortia partner extranets.
- Work closely with the Director of Sales & Commercial Director to identify and drive focused activities on elements of the business that require additional support
- Contribute to the development of company sales and marketing initiatives by recommending, implementing and monitoring appropriate sales activity.
- Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the hotel and ownership.
- Collaborate with other departments in the hotel, particularly Reservations and Guest Services, to create an exceptional Guest experience.
- Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions
- Monitor market conditions & sales and marketing activities of competitors.

- Excellent selling capabilities and the ability and desire to coach selling techniques to Team Members
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Experience in a similar role with a proven track record
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Established relationships with luxury travel agencies in UK, Europe or Asia Pacific.
- Min 2 years’ experience delivering consortia based leisure revenues in a 5* environment.
- Additional language.
- Passion for sales and for achieving targets and objectives
