JOB DESCRIPTION

Personal Assistant



A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF



I am a young lady in my mid 20’s, with autism spectrum disorder, living in the Cathays area of Cardiff. I really enjoy dancing, playing the piano and attending a drama club. I am looking to recruit potentially two Personal Care Assistants to support me with my weekly activities.







PURPOSE OF JOB



Supporting me to access activities within the community and travelling by bus to the destinations.







PLACE OF WORK



In the community





HOURS OF WORK



8.15 hours a week on Wednesdays between 9am to 3.30pm.





RATE OF PAY



£14.80 per hour





TASKS INVOLVED



Keeping me safe by supporting me to access activities in the local community.
To assist me on public transport buses to and from my activities

ABOUT THE JOB



The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK before you start work. Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you. Support cannot be carried out in the personal assistant’s own home.
