Commissioning and Installation Engineer required for a professional and growing producer of bespoke machinery used in manufacturing.
This role would suit experienced commissioning /installation engineers as well as mechanical fitters or maintenance engineers with experience building machinery. This role would suit mechanically biased engineers with an understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
The Commissioning and Installation Engineer will be based from the company’s site in Leicester supporting the pre-commissioning and testing of bespoke machinery before commissioning the machines at customer sites across the globe. You will spend approximately 75% of your time in Leicester and approximately 25% of your time at customer sites.
The Commissioning and Installation Engineer Role:
· Pre-commissioning and testing of equipment
· Commission, install and service machinery at customer sites
· Inspection and testing of machines
· 25% of the time travelling – approximately 1x a month, typically 1-2 days national and 2-3 weeks international (on rare occasions this could be longer)
· Working as part of a team
· Train customers on the machinery
· Conduct QA checks on sub assemblies, complete machines and production lines
The Commissioning and Installation Engineer Candidate:
· Experience with machine build
· Experience as a mechanical fitter, maintenance engineer or commissioning engineer (or similar)
· Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, electrics
· Hold a relevant engineering qualification
