We have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Analyst to join us. You will be instrumental in our Digital transformation as the business continues to grow and mature.
Candidates should be service-focused and understand the importance of exceptional personable skills to accompany technical knowledge. We’re seeking intelligent, diligent, and driven colleagues who can combine their existing understanding with newly acquired skills to become an asset to our highly valued team. You will be reporting into the Head of IT.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Research and analyse all our core existing business systems and processes to identify areas for business improvement.
- Training the organisation’s employees and improving the organisation’s operational processes to enhance its productivity.
- Overseeing the implementation of projects from beginning to end while ensuring that it meets the business’s needs and leads the change management.
- Communicating with senior management about interruptions and other frustrations impacting their workflow on these key systems
- Creating detailed plans for the implementation of new processes, including budgets and other resources required.
- Drive adoption of change control across the business to ensure right-first-time, supportable solutions that objectively meet agreed success criteria.
- Act as second-line support to the business on systems, especially within the early adoption or during change.
- Lead on system expertise, including utilisation guidance, system configuration and testing.
- Ability to build understanding and relationships with business SMEs, process owners and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Keep up to date with technological developments to support the continuous improvement of all systems and processes.
- Other duties as required to support the safe, efficient running of the IT services for the business.
- Excellent analytical, Innovation, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Highly aware of systems and data security needs to ensure the highest degree of protection for our customers and business.
- Depth of understanding of process mapping, requirements gathering, testing and deployment
- Strong technical background and skilled at developing safe releases for the implementation of new systems and processes.
- Liaison and collaboration skills to work with others to undertake role.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of people.
- Strong personal organisational skills with the ability to take responsibility for managing his/her own workload.
- Passion for process improvement, requirements documentation, testing, digital technology solutions, leveraging and maximising existing system and delivering all aspects of change management.
- 2 years’ experience as a business or systems analyst or relevant education.
- Experience as an IT Super user
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly analytical mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science or a relevant field.
This role is based at our Head Office in Newcastle. After successfully completing the initial training period, there will be the option for some flexible home working.
Occasional business travel and overnight stays may be required to support specific projects and system requirements.
