We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team at University Hospitals Southampton.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering safe, accurate and patient‑focused blood collection services across both our inpatient and outpatient areas. Your contribution will directly support clinical teams, improve patient experience, and help ensure high‑quality diagnostic outcomes.
As part of our busy and supportive phlebotomy service, you will work a variety of day shifts between 07:30 and 20:00, helping us provide reliable cover across the hospital. You will become an integral member of a diverse, patient‑facing team and will work closely with colleagues in phlebotomy, nursing, and laboratory medicine to maintain smooth and efficient patient flow.
This role reports to the Phlebotomy Coordinators/Phlebotomy Manager, and you will collaborate daily with a wider multidisciplinary team to ensure that every patient receives a safe, respectful and timely service.
If you are passionate about high‑quality care, enjoy working in a dynamic hospital environment, and want to make a meaningful impact every day, we would love to hear from you.

We believe that using technology wisely shows strong time management and commitment to innovation. However, personalizing your recruitment application to highlight your unique skills and experiences is crucial. Relying too heavily on generic, AI-generated content instead of drawing from your own strengths and accomplishments may lead to your application being rejected if multiple candidates present identical or similar information.
At UHSwe’re committed to providing a flexible working environment where possible. Whether you are balancing family, study, or your wellbeing with your career, we want to support you so you can help our patients.
At UHS, we proudly champion individuality, recognizing that outstanding care is only possible with a diverse, inclusive team. We’re committed to creating an anti-racist, anti-discriminatory environment where everyone feels valued, safe, and empowered to make a meaningful impact in our communities. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences to join us in building a healthcare community where everyone can belong, thrive, and contribute.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
