Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. Duties
Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases in a professional manner
Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
Handle cash, card payments, and other payment methods with precision
Maintain knowledge of current promotions and upsell relevant products to maximise sales opportunities
Organise merchandise displays and ensure the checkout area remains tidy and welcoming
Answer customer enquiries courteously via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
Assist with stock replenishment and merchandising tasks as required
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth checkout operations
Support team members with organisational tasks to optimise store efficiency
Requirements
Fluency in English
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage positively with customers
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Experience in merchandising or retail is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Good time management skills to prioritise duties during busy periods
Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person
Ability to upsell products tactfully to enhance sales performance
Organised, reliable, and able to work well within a team environment
