We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school team in Birmingham. This role involves working closely with an individual pupil to support their learning, development, and wellbeing within the classroom environment.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to a pupil with specific learning needs
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement individual learning plans
- Support the pupil’s academic, social, and emotional development
- Adapt learning materials to meet the pupil’s needs
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with children in a primary school setting
- Have knowledge of Special Educational Needs, such as ASD, ADHD, or speech and language needs
- Be patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
