About the role:

We're looking to recruit a Part Time Support Worker to care for our cheerful 17 year old male client in Hullbridge.

Out client lives at home with his family. He has a warm personality and enjoys music, sensory toys, and spending time outdoors. He particularly loves musical instruments (the rainmaker is his favourite!) and enjoys going to school and getting out for days in the community.

Our client has complex medical needs following a brain injury at birth which has resulted in cerebral palsy and quadriplegia. He communicates in his own unique way through sounds and behaviours, and with patience and consistency you will learn to understand what he enjoys and how he expresses himself.

Our client requires a calm, attentive support worker who is confident supporting young people with complex health needs and who can provide safe, compassionate care in the family home.

  • Close observation due to complex medical needs
  • Sensory play, music and community activities

This role would suit someone who is kind, patient, and attentive, and who enjoys building meaningful relationships while supporting a young person with complex care needs.

When you will be working:

  • 1 x day shift a week (8am-4pm on a weekday)

  • Plus flexibility to cover other weekday day shifts (8am-4pm) and fri/sat waking nights when needed

  • Part time - 1 regular shift a week with flexibility to cover additional day or night shifts when other support worker is off

What to look forward to:

  • Earn up to £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)
