Vehicle Appraiser – Progression Route into Car Sales
Location: Worksop
Salary: £28,000
Hours: 5 days out of 7 (including weekends) – 42.5 hours per week
About the Role
Are you passionate about cars, confident with customers, and looking for a genuine pathway into car sales? This Vehicle Appraiser position is an excellent stepping stone. You’ll join a market‑leading automotive business, supporting a busy sales department and learning the foundations of dealership operations.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to break into sales but needs that first opportunity to prove themselves.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Appraisals
- Conduct detailed appraisals on part‑exchange vehicles, assessing condition, mileage, history, and overall value.
- Use industry‑standard tools and software to produce accurate valuations.
- Communicate appraisal outcomes clearly to the sales team.
- Test‑drive part‑exchange vehicles to identify mechanical concerns.
Auction & Stock Management
- Identify which vehicles should be retailed and which should be sent to auction.
- Manage the disposal process for non‑retail vehicles, including documentation and logistics.
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine desire to progress into car sales.
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with colleagues and customers.
- Basic car knowledge is helpful, but full training is provided.
- Ability to stay organised and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Flexibility to support the wider team when needed.
- Full UK driving licence.
