Summary
Job Title: Nepalese Curry Chef

* Salary Range: £28000 to £32000 per annum (12.23 – 13.98)
* Number of vacant positions: 1
* About the post: We are looking for a talented and experienced Nepalese Curry Chef to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of traditional Nepalese flavours, spices, and cooking techniques. You will be responsible for preparing authentic curries and regional dishes that reflect the rich culinary heritage of Nepal. If you are passionate about flavour, consistency, and high-quality cooking, this is an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills in a professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Nepalese curries and speciality dishes.
* Create and maintain consistent flavour profiles using traditional spices, herbs, and cooking methods.
* Manage the curry section during service, ensuring dishes are prepared to order and delivered promptly.
* Assist with menu development, including seasonal specials and new Nepalese dishes.
* Oversee preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, grinding spices, and preparing base sauces.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation within the kitchen.
* Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
* Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
* Follow all food hygiene, allergen, and health and safety regulations.
* Support training and development of junior kitchen staff when required.
* Relevant Experience : 3 years
