The home offers specialist and complex care for up to 80 residents across four 20 bed bungalow style households. Designed to support calm, therapeutic living, the home provides high quality care for people living with advanced dementia, complex nursing needs and mental health conditions in a safe and supportive environment focused on dignity, wellbeing and person centred care.

- £15.00 per hour
- 40 hours per week
- Day shifts with alternate weekend working
- Pension, Paid DBS, Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a commissioning care home and play a key role in shaping the dining experience from the very beginning. As Head Chef, you will lead the kitchen and create nutritious, high quality meals that bring comfort, enjoyment and familiarity to residents each day.
Unlike many hospitality roles, this position offers a strong work life balance with no late night finishes and structured daytime hours. Working closely with the Home Manager and Group Executive Chef, you will oversee the daily operation of the kitchen, lead and support the kitchen team, and ensure meals are prepared to the highest standards while meeting residents’ individual dietary needs and preferences.
You will help create a warm and welcoming dining experience that enhances residents’ wellbeing while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and organisation within the kitchen.
What We Are Looking For
- Recognised culinary qualification such as City and Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent
- Previous experience leading or supervising a kitchen team
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety and compliance standards
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Experience planning menus and managing kitchen operations
- Genuine passion for creating high quality meals that support residents’ wellbeing
