Long Term Futures are recruiting for a patient and resilient Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with SEMH and autism in a welcoming and supportive primary school in Kenilworth, Coventry.
This position is a long-term role and for the right candidate there is an opportunity to be made permanent. The school is looking for a proactive, accommodating and positive person who is looking to excel and become a crucial part of their team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with SEMH and Autism
- Support the pupil's academic progress as well as their emotional wellbeing and personal development
- Implement strategies to support behaviour in a calm, consistent and structured manner
- Reinforce learning across a range of subjects through tailored support
- Encourage focus, confidence and a positive attitude to learning
- Advise and support in creating a calm and supportive learning environment
- Support transitions throughout the school day


Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning Qualification, or relevant subject
- Experience working with primary-aged pupils
- Experience supporting children with SEMH and/or autism is desirable
- A background supporting students in a classroom or similar setting
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies or training
- A co-operative, patient and positive attitude
