Summary
Are you a graduate (or graduating soon) looking to gain valuable classroom experience before deciding if teaching could be the right career for you?
Quokka Education is looking for graduates and aspiring teachers to support secondary schools across North Hampshire.
This includes schools in Winchester, Basingstoke, Andover, Hook, Fleet and Alton, where you'll deliver pre-planned lessons and supervise classes when teachers are absent.
This is a fantastic opportunity to experience the classroom environment, build confidence leading lessons, and explore whether a career in teaching could be the right fit for you.
You'll help deliver pre-set lessons across a range of subjects, keep students engaged, and ensure learning continues smoothly throughout the school day.
No experience? No problem.
Many of our Cover Supervisors start with no previous school experience and quickly build confidence through our training, induction days and ongoing support.

What Success Looks Like as a Cover Supervisor In your first few weeks (Days 1-30)
- Deliver pre-set work and keep lessons on track
- Learn school routines and build positive relationships with students
- Show reliability and professionalism in every placement
As you settle in (around 60 days)
- Become a familiar, trusted face in local schools
- Confidently support different year groups and subjects
- Demonstrate calm and consistent behaviour management
As you grow (around 90 days)
- Become a go-to Cover Supervisor in your area
- Lead lessons independently
- Build a strong reputation for reliability and impact
Role Details
Location: Winchester and North Hampshire schools (including Basingstoke, Andover, Hook, Fleet and Alton)
Role: Graduate Cover Supervisor / Classroom Experience
Start Date: Immediate and ongoing opportunities
Contract: Flexible supply work with temporary and permanent pathways
Hours: 8:30am - 3:00pm (term time only)
Pay: From £120 per day (PAYE)
