Summary

Deputy Room Leader | Beautiful Setting | £30,000

Our client is looking for a confident and nurturing Level 3 Deputy Room Leader to support across their beautifully designed nursery, filled with light, warmth, and curiosity.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced practitioner ready to take the next step into a supportive leadership role, within a child-led environment that values emotional wellbeing, strong relationships, and high-quality early years practice.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent) – essential
  • Experience working in an Early Years nursery setting
  • Previous senior practitioner experience or readiness to step into a deputy leadership role
  • A warm, nurturing approach with a good understanding of child development
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
  • Confident communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
  • A proactive, positive attitude and genuine passion for early years care

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Room Leader in the day-to-day running of the room
  • Step up to lead in the Room Leader’s absence
  • Deliver high-quality care and learning in line with the EYFS
  • Support children’s development through engaging activities and play
  • Contribute to observations, assessments, and planning
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues within the room
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers
  • Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety standards are consistently met
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
