Summary
Lead and coordinate induction, preceptorship and ongoing development programmes for all staff groups and learners in Main Theatres. Plan and deliver theory and practice teaching (core perioperative skills; systems and equipment training) at appropriate levels; prepare materials and evaluate impact. Ensure highquality learning environments: allocate placements, match assessors/mentors/practice supervisors, and provide visible support in and out of hours when required. Monitor learner progress and documentation; coach and support mentors/assessors/practice supervisors; escalate and manage performance concerns early. Liaise with HEIs (Higher Education Institutions) and training providers; contribute to and participate in OSCEs (Observed Structured Clinical Examinations) and assessments; support competencybased programmes (eg. Apprenticeships/NVQequivalent). Assist with ensuring that the Awarding Body Code of Conduct is observed and be familiar with the relevant appeals and complaints procedures. Maintain accurate education records, mandatory training compliance and practiceassessor updates (NMC/HCPC requirements).
