A diverse and community‑driven secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a committed and adaptable Teacher of Health & Social Care to join their Humanities & Vocational faculty for an immediate start. This role also includes teaching Citizenship and Sociology, making it ideal for a practitioner with a broad and flexible skill set.The school is known for its strong pastoral care, supportive leadership, and investment in staff development. They are looking for someone who can step in swiftly, deliver high‑quality lessons, and contribute positively to the wider school environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver engaging Health & Social Care lessons at KS4 (and KS5 if required)
- Teach Citizenship and Sociology confidently across relevant year groups
- Quickly adapt to the school environment and build positive relationships
- Provide consistently strong behaviour management and structured lessons
- Maintain high expectations for progress, effort and achievement
- Contribute to curriculum development within a supportive team
Ideal CandidateThis role is suitable for both experienced teachers and confident ECTs who can start immediately. You will bring:
