You'll be part of a collaborative team committed to improving ways of working through robust programme management, transparent reporting and a strong focus on coordination and delivery excellence.
Your new role
As a Project Support Officer (PSO), you will play a key role in maintaining effective programme operations. You will support governance, planning, documentation management, reporting and stakeholder engagement - ensuring the programme runs efficiently and according to established standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Deploying and maintaining the PMO Handbook as the central guide for governance, roles, responsibilities and agreed ways of working.
- Managing the RAIDD Log, ensuring all risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies and decisions are accurately recorded, tracked and escalated.
- Supporting programme planning by maintaining roadmaps, delivery plans, milestones, timelines and dependencies.
- Preparing and coordinating Steering Committee documentation, including pre‑reads, minutes, decision logs and follow‑up actions.
- Owning the weekly Programme Highlight Reports, gathering updates and synthesising them into clear, concise summaries.
- Organising and coordinating workshops, including logistics, attendee management, materials preparation and follow‑up actions.
- Creating and distributing both Fortnightly and Quarterly Newsletters, ensuring accurate, engaging updates for stakeholders.
- Maintaining the Ongoing Change Manual, ensuring processes and guidance remain current as the programme evolves.
- Managing programme documentation through SharePoint, ensuring strong version control, clear structure, permissions management and a single source of truth for all deliverables.
- Tracking team availability through the Time Off Tracker to support effective scheduling and resource planning.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage detailed logs, trackers and documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, detail‑driven approach with strong follow‑through and a commitment to maintaining high governance standards.
- Experience supporting projects, programmes or PMO functions, ideally within structured or complex environments.
- Confidence using collaboration tools such as SharePoint, along with an understanding of document management and version control.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, organise workloads and maintain clear oversight across programme activities.
A mindset focused on consistency, continuous improvement and professional curiosity will be highly valued.
