Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Locum Consultant Anaesthetist to join the team of Consultants in the Anaesthetic Department at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. Anaesthetics is part of the Directorate of Anaesthesia, Theatres and Critical Care. Both ICU units have received the rating of Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
This is a Locum consultant anaesthetist post based at Wexham Park Hospital and Heatherwood Hospital with the opportunity to subspecialise in Obstetrics, Regional, Trauma and colorectal anaesthesia dependent on individual interest and training. The post is available to start ASAP, for one year to cover maternity leave. This is ideal for someone who wishes to have a flavour of working in this friendly department before committing to a permanent post.
The successful applicants will be expected to take part in developing services within the Trust and to share the clinical, administrative and teaching work with the other consultants in the department. Participation in clinical audit is a requirement and an ongoing activity in both Departments. Clinical research projects are encouraged.
The post will be subject to the Terms and Conditions of the new Consultant Contract (2003). The basis of the post is 10 programmed activities, 9 direct clinical care (DCC) sessions and 1 SPA
