Role Overview
Support the preventative maintenance programme by carrying out effective maintenance routines and repairs to prolong the useful life of the equipment. Also, liaise with contractors as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- To support the company's short-cycle manufacturing programme by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdowns, and the achievement of world-class MTTR and MTBF metrics.
- Support the implementation and upkeep of the J&J Manufacturing equipment Excellence Programme
- Support J&J Manufacturing Equipment Excellence strategy to enable achievement of all goals and objectives.
- Promote thinking in an environment of continuous improvement and innovation in line with Lean and Manufacturing Equipment Excellence.
- Support NPI projects on new product development and participate in new equipment introduction project teams.
- Reporting of work status on a timely basis to the maintenance coordinator.
- Maintain a log of activities carried out on equipment, i.e., hours worked, spare parts used, etc., using the site Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), namely Maximo.
- Ensure that maintenance cover for the manufacturing areas is always provided.
- Provide support with the Facilities function to ensure maintenance routines are supervised and conducted in accordance with the requirements of the company.
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of the Company's Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures is maintained.

Required Experience & Skills
- Engineering Apprenticeship in a Maintenance Discipline
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in all aspects of machine maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems repair and diagnostic skills
- General skills and expertise related to maintenance and facilities activities
- Demonstrate levels of theoretical knowledge with practical application
- Relevant working knowledge of a regulated industry and GMP
- Basic computer skills
