Summary

Pay Rate: £12.80 for early shifts, £14.13 for late shifts

Shifts: Rotating weekly shifts

  • Monday-Thursday: 06:00-14:30 / 14:00-22:00
  • Friday: 06:00-13:30 / 13:00-20:00

The Best Connection are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-established client based in Dartford for a Supply Chain Operative to join their busy supply chain team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting stock control and production operations.

Role Overview

You will be working as part of the Stores and Warehouse team, ensuring materials are efficiently managed to support manufacturing stock replenishment. Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to assist in other areas of the supply chain when needed.

Key Responsibilities

On Shift Duties:

  • Moving and transferring products from goods-in to designated storage locations
  • Replenishing production bins promptly while adhering to FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures
  • Clearing production shortages efficiently
  • Ensuring all stock is stored and rotated correctly in line with FIFO guidelines
  • Issuing consignment stock in accordance with purchase department requests
  • Managing the stores mailbox and responding to queries in a timely manner
  • Recording component issues, shortages, and stock discrepancies
  • Carrying out stock checks and investigating discrepancies
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
  • Following all health & safety policies and procedures

Additional Duties:

  • Refilling Kanban trolleys at the start of each day
  • Kitting jobs to meet production requirements
  • Preparing and kitting customer orders for warehouse dispatch
  • Supporting team leaders with scrap and redundant stock management
  • Completing cyclical stock checks throughout the year
  • Assisting with any other reasonable duties as required

Skills & Experience Required
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Reliable and dependable with a good work ethic
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Previous warehouse or stores experience (desirable but not essential)
