Badock’s Wood is looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our committed team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a supportive, community‑focused environment and is ready to play a key role in helping our pupils flourish both academically and personally.
Key responsibilities:
Plan, prepare and deliver assigned programmes of teaching and learning activities to individuals, small groups and/or whole classes modifying and adapting activities as necessary under the overall direction and supervision of a teacher
Develop and implement Individual Development Plans for pupils (such as Individual Educations Plans) including attendance at, and contribution to, reviews.
Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with agreed programmes of work.
Plan and evaluate specialist learning activities with the teacher, writing reports and records as required.
Pay range: NJC19-23 - £ 25,531.10 - £27,420.79 - FTE: £32,061.00 - £34,434.00 - 33.5 hours - 39 Weeks per year
Qualifications and Skills:
GCSE Maths and English minimum grade C or equivalent
Meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualifications or experience
Ability to model acceptable behaviours and encourage good social skills
Ability to extend children’s thinking skills
