Summary

Working 37.5 hours a week, you will join the team at Aderyn Hospital, a high-quality step-down service for men with enduring mental health conditions that sets a sector-leading example of clear care pathways for service users with a focus on recovery. As well as a 17-bed rehabilitation unit, there is also a 2-bed open rehabilitation cottage.

You will be responsible for implementing rehabilitation programmes alongside the Occupational Therapy team to support service users as they develop their independence to lead a brighter future.

As a Therapy Support Worker, you will assist in delivering person-centred care, programmes and interventions. This will see you provide therapeutic activities as you help service users work towards their aims goals and objectives.

Working alongside the OT department, you will be responsible for developing individual timetables, which will see you review therapeutic activities and ensure all resources and equipment are well stocked and available.

You will be a part of an environment where there is a strong emphasis on teamwork and CPD, where you will have continuous access to a range of training opportunities to move your career forward.

Other responsibilities:

  • Maintain documentation to record details of sessions offered, levels of attendance and levels of participation following Elysium Healthcare requirements
  • Observe and record service users’ progress, attitudes, and behaviour, maintain this information through feedback to the team and completion of service users' records

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 4 GCSEs, grade C or above, or equivalent (including English and Maths)
  • Word processing qualification is desirable
  • Business Administration NVQ or equivalent is desirable
  • Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety
  • Previous experience in either an administrative role, customer service role or another appropriate background
