Summary
Job description Key responsibilities: Senior operational leadership across the practice Line management and development of a large multidisciplinary workforce Oversight of HR systems, policies, performance and staff wellbeing Financial management, budgeting and forecasting and Year End Accounts production Supporting strategic planning and organisational development Driving service improvement, efficiency and modern ways of working You will work within an experienced management structure and with a team of experienced Partners who value professional leadership and clear operational governance. Strategic Leadership Act as a strategic partner to the GP Partners, contributing to practice vision, business planning, and growth strategy. Lead development and implementation of practice strategy aligned with clinical priorities and patient outcomes. Identify and deliver opportunities for service development and income generation. Represent the practice within the PCN and wider health system as required. Financial Management Take responsibility for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Maximise income from core contracts, enhanced services, QOF, PCN funding, and other revenue streams. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement expenditure controls. Ensure robust financial governance and value-for-money procurement. Provide regular financial insight and recommendations to GP Partners. Monthly bank reconciliation utilising Xero accounting software Operational Management Ownership of workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and staff development. Ensure compliance with CQC, NHS contractual requirements, employment law, and information governance. Monitor performance indicators and implement improvement plans. Develop systems and processes to support sustainable growth.
