Summary
Carry out specialised duplex ultrasound investigations on patients in the department and independently in other locations (clinics, ITU, HDU, theatres and outreach clinics). Make complex diagnostic measurements involving imaging of blood vessels and measurement of blood flow characteristics. Be able to interpret complex anatomy and pathology in order to provide clear diagnostic findings. Make complex interpretive judgements based on interactively acquired ultrasound blood velocity data and imaging. Make further measurements as necessary. Record test information and report results and diagnostic findings to the referring clinicians.
