You work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and uphold the highest standards of clinical practice, safety, and patient experience. WHAT DO YOU DO? Clinical Care & Patient Experience Deliver safe, effective, and individualised nursing care to Oncology and Haematology patients across inpatient, day-case and outpatient settings. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in line with agreed treatment pathways and care plans. Support patients undergoing cancer and haematological treatments, including chemotherapy, transfusions, and supportive therapies (where trained). Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects, complications, and deterioration, escalating concerns appropriately. Provide holistic care that addresses physical, emotional, psychological, and informational needs of patients and their families. Treatment & Clinical Practice Administer prescribed treatments and medications in line with local policies, national guidance, and competency frameworks. Support the safe delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) where trained and authorised, or work towards SACT competency as required. Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation in line with professional and legal standards. Ensure infection prevention and control measures are followed at all times. Governance, Safety & Quality Work in accordance with NMC Code, Circle Health Group policies, and national Oncology/Haematology standards. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development activities. Recognise, report, and respond to incidents, near misses, and safeguarding concerns in line with organisational policies. Contribute to maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g. CQC). Teamworking & Professional Practice Work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team, liaising with consultants, pharmacists, specialist nurses, and allied health professionals. Support and supervise junior staff, students, and new starters as appropriate. Act as an advocate for patients, promoting dignity, respect, and informed decision-making. Development & Continuous Improvement Maintain professional competence through ongoing CPD and mandatory training. Engage in appraisal, reflective practice, and personal development planning. Contribute ideas and feedback to improve patient pathways, service delivery, and patient experience. WHAT DO YOU HAVE? Essential Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration. Experience working in an Oncology and/or Haematology setting. Sound understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients in emotionally challenging situations. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical environment. SACT qualfication. Desirable Post-registration experience in Oncology, Haematology, or cancer services. Experience in private healthcare, acute hospital, or specialist cancer services.
