Summary

For further information please refer to the job description and personal specification 2.1 Appointments, Scheduling and Capacity Management2.1.1 To deal with all Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT referrals from clinicians, ensuring that the appointment is scheduled within an appropriate clinical time frame taking into account clinical priority and cancer waiting times targets.2.1.2 To liaise directly with the patient regarding their appointment, either verbally or in writing, providing information and reassurance and managing patient expectations around the scanning experience.2.1.3 To be responsible for ensuring that patients are given appointment letters and patient information sheets where relevant.2.1.4 When necessary, to liaise with the clinical, technical or nursing staff to prioritise the scheduling of new referrals.2.1.5 To liaise with senior Nuclear Medicine / PET staff when arranging non-standard investigations.
