Summary
The team is part of the rota providing 24-hour emergency surgical care at North Bristol NHS Trust. NBT is a major trauma centre and the postholder will manage major trauma cases when on-call for emergency general surgery. It is the regional vascular centre and interventional radiology is available 24 hours a day. On-call: The post holder will participate in the acute general surgical take including major trauma on an approximately 1 in 14 rota, which involves a post-take emergency operating day with consultant supervision.
