Your new company
Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with an extremely supportive and welcoming SEN primary school in Wigan as they are require several dedicated and reliable educational support workers to join their team on a full-time long-term basis. These vacancies will be starting on 20/04/2026 and will last the remainder of the academic year.
Your new role
As an Educational Support Worker within this school you will be supporting pupils between the ages of 4 – 11 with a variety of SEN (Special Educational Needs), the majority of diagnosis being SEMH with some being dual ASD, ADHD, or LD. You will work in collaboration with class teachers to promote the well-being, emotional development and self-esteem of pupils by taking trauma-informed approaches to education and leading on positive behaviour support.
What you need to succeed
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- An Enhanced Children’s DBS check or willing to undergo
- Referenceable experience supporting children and young people within a residential or classroom capacity (SEMH and EBD is advantageous)
- Be able to commit to a long-term full-time contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week
