Summary

Are you seeking a new opportunity to join a highly successful comprehensive school that provides an outstanding education of excellence for all? Would you thrive when working with other committed and innovative members of staff who embody sector leading educational practice? Leigh Academy Halley is now recruiting for an Administrator to join from April 2026, to support the Head of School and Deputy Head of School, to carry out all work relating to Leigh Academy Halley administration needs and procedures to maximise the learning experiences of students at the school.

This is a truly fantastic opportunity for a passionate administrator to become part of a well-established, highly collaborative and successful small school team that works hard to ensure that students receive the highest quality pastoral care so that they can have a successful and enjoyable experience of education. We are looking for a highly committed colleague to join our administrative team.

Central to the high-quality pastoral care that we provide at the Academy is our Small School Model. Each of our Small Schools has an administrator who not only plays an integral role in the smooth operation of that particular Small School, but also supports the Head of School in their whole-school responsibilities. This particular whole school responsibility is for safeguarding, and the administrator plays an integral part of the safeguarding team at the Academy, working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and Safeguarding Team to ensure that safeguarding is at the heart of all we do.

We pride ourselves on having a diverse and dynamic staffing body of committed, creative and hardworking support staff who enjoy coming to work as they benefit from:

A committed, supportive and successful team.
Encouragement for professional development, innovation and creativity.
Opportunities to collaborate with, and learn from, colleagues across the Leigh Academies Trust.
Previous experience of a role in an educational setting is desirable. The successful candidate will have to meet the person specification to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

We’d like to hear from you if you:

Have experience in managing a large workload, multiple complex tasks and responding to changing priorities with a proven ability to meet required deadlines.
Have had experience as an administrator.
Have experience of handling sensitive and confidential information.
Have experience in using up-to-date Information and Communication Technology systems such as Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word and Excel.
Knowledge of BromCom (this is desirable, but not essential).
Are willing to be flexible in the tasks undertaken.

We are open to receiving applications from prospective candidates who wish to work 35 hours per week (8am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday), term time + 1 week. Suitable and interested candidates are encouraged to make contact with Ben Russell, Principal, by contacting him on ben.russell@halley.latrust.org.uk
