Summary

Working arrangements: Permanent


Full time (35 hours per week) primarily Monday to Friday


There may be an occasional requirement to work evenings and weekends, depending on business need)


Hybrid working (minimum of three days per week onsite, depending on business need, following the initial induction/ training period which will be full time onsite)

The Role and Department


The Business Support Administrator role provides a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator looking for a new challenge within their career. This is an integral role within the Estates and Facilities Directorate providing a wide range of comprehensive administrative support. We are looking for a team player, who has a flexible attitude and the drive and enthusiasm to make a positive contribution to our team.


You will undertake a wide range of administrative duties to support the entire Estates and Facilities Directorate and wider-University, in delivering essential services and achieving their strategic objectives.


As part of a team, you will manage staff and student processes and systems, such as, but not limited to, issuing car parking permits, raising and receipting orders, supporting meetings, developing and maintaining records, ensuring that a professional service standard is maintained at all times.


The Estates and Facilities Directorate provides a range of essential services to Durham University and is responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the infrastructure and building fabric of the various campuses.
