Summary
Job Summary:
We are currently recruiting compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers to join our team in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals in residential homes, supported living, or in their own homes.
Please note: This role is open to local UK residents only. We do not offer visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care such as washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of equipment (e.g., hoists, wheelchairs).
Support service users with meals, hydration, and feeding if required.
Promote dignity, choice, and independence in daily activities.
Monitor and report changes in physical or emotional wellbeing.
Administer or prompt medication as per care plan (if trained).
Keep accurate daily records and documentation.
Engage service users in meaningful activities and conversation.
Work in partnership with healthcare professionals, families, and colleagues.
Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the care environment.
Adhere to safeguarding, infection control, confidentiality, and health & safety policies.
Requirements:
Right to work in the UK (No sponsorship available).
Previous experience as a care worker, support worker, or similar role preferred.
Caring, compassionate, and reliable nature.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to undertake mandatory training (e.g., Moving & Handling, Safeguarding).
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or sleep-ins (depending on setting).
Enhanced DBS check (can be arranged during recruitment if not on Update Service).
Desirable:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, dementia, or mental health conditions.
Knowledge of person-centred care and positive behaviour support.
