Your new role
As the Student Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for students throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and assisting students with enquiries
- Managing late arrivals and early departures
- Answering internal calls and directing queries
- Providing general administrative support to the office team
- Maintaining accurate records and following safeguarding procedures
- Issuing equipment, timetables and uniform.
This is a temporary role requiring professionalism, calm under pressure, and a genuine desire to support young people.What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this position, you should have:
- Previous reception or administrative experience (school experience desirable but not essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and school systems
- A proactive, approachable, and student-focused attitude
We will need to be able to obtain references to cover the last 2 years as a minimum, and you will need to be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check if you don't already have a DBS on the update service.
