Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings and possess the necessary skills to manage diverse needs.

This is a sleep in role with the requirement to be awake from 8pm to 10pm and 7am to 8am. There is an expectation to support during the night if required.

Responsibilities

Socialise with our tenants during the early part of the evening
Support tenants with any food preparation i.e. supper
To support tenants during the night in the event of an emergency
Use of digital care planning to include notes and care support records
Support administration of medication
Prompt/undertake personal hygiene needs i.e. showing, bathing, shaving, use of continence products including hands on support
Prompt/support with dressing/undressing, choice of clothes and personal appearance
Experience

Previous experience in supported living environments is desirable.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.
A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to help others is crucial for success in this role.
Current Care Certificate
The successful candidate will need to be flexible with the ability to work week nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Due to the nature of the role, applicants should note that initial working requirement will be for days to accommodate training, competencies, shadowing and observations. Night working will commence when deemed competent and able to lone work.

Commitment of a minimum of 24 hours is required.
