Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday to Friday | 8.00am - 4.00pm
Salary: £23,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

About the Role

As a Youth Coach, you will support young people with their behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement in learning. You will help students return to the classroom, deliver targeted interventions, and work closely with staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure each young person receives the support they need. The role may include working with students on bespoke or off‑site timetables, completing risk assessments, and maintaining accurate safeguarding and behaviour records.

Key Responsibilities

Support students returning to class and help implement behaviour strategies.
Provide on‑call assistance to teaching staff and monitor behaviour using the school’s online system.
Deliver 1:1 or group wellbeing sessions and coach students on emotional regulation.
Support academic progress under teacher guidance and assist in lessons when needed.
Liaise with parents, carers, colleagues, and external professionals to share information.
Coordinate and support bespoke or off‑site timetables, including transporting students when required.
Write risk assessments and ensure all policies and safeguarding procedures are followed.
Assist in the school reward system and promote positive behaviour across the school.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to meetings and wider school activities.
Undertake relevant training and support the school flexibly when required.
What you will bring:

Educated to GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
Experience working in a role where transferable skills have been gained.
Confident in using computer databases and common software programs.
A Full UK Driving Licence

Bricklehurst Manor School is a brand-new, co-educational SEMH school located in Wadhurst, East Sussex, for pupils aged 11–16. The school will cater for up to 60 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated additional needs.
