We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Water Engineer to deliver a wide range of planned maintenance, compliance, and servicing activities across commercial and domestic water systems.
This role plays a crucial part in ensuring clients remain compliant with L8 ACOP legislation while receiving high-quality technical support and water hygiene services.
Job Description
We are looking for someone confident working on complex water systems, who can carry out surveys, produce quotes, and undertake both standard and specialist remedial tasks.
You will contribute to service delivery improvements, mentor junior colleagues, and act as a technical expert within the water hygiene and treatment discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver surveys, quotations, and practical delivery of L8, remedial works, RPZ, and flushing activities across various sites.
Perform scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting on water system equipment in line with plumbing codes and manufacturer instructions.
Complete reactive disinfection procedures on domestic and commercial systems in line with ISS UK&I Governance and SSoW documentation.
Carry out standard PPM monitoring and inspection tasks as required by customer CAFM systems or via direct request.
Survey, quote, and undertake all water hygiene and water treatment remedial works in accordance with customer requirements.
Attend technical forums and community meetings as requested.
Support service delivery improvements and mentor junior team members.
Determine appropriate methods, techniques, and materials needed to complete assigned tasks effectively.
Provide detailed reports for all tasks undertaken and issue certification for small works.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Specialist water treatment engineering experience.
Core plumbing qualification: NVQ Level 2 or above (additional qualifications beneficial).
Experience and certification in water system disinfection, including nondomestic and utilities environments.
Strong knowledge of water regulations.
Experience in general water hygiene PPM activities.
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Ability to set high standards, show responsibility for work, and demonstrate respect for colleagues and clients.
Strong time-management and prioritisation skills.
