Summary
The post holder will be part of Gateshead Talking Therapies and South Tyneside Primary Care Mental Health Lifecycle Service, which incorporates Talking Therapies and Child Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS). They will work with adults who have a range of common mental health problems in primary care using NICE low intensity treatment interventions They will use traditional and innovative treatment methods In addition to the role of therapist the Senior PWP post holder will be accountable for overseeing the delivery and coordination of day to day Step 2 interventions and contribute to the clinical supervision of staff, optimising the cost effective use of all resources Contribute to management of Step 2 service delivery, with accountability and responsibility for aspects of patient/client care through the provision of effective clinical leadership To lead, motivate and support Step 2 practitioners approach to delivering new and innovative models of care for patients/clients To play a leading role in a continuously improving service, by ensuring systems are in place to support clinical governance, quality monitoring and on-going research and audit of practice at Step 2 Ensure systems and processes are in place to maintain patient safety Facilitate the development of clinical expertise within the Step 2 team To work autonomously, assessing individual patient/client needs, determining a plan of care and initiating appropriate holistic, research based health information and care To act as a resource for all Step 2 members of the team, providing expert advice concerning aspects of patient/client care. To improve the patient/client journey by increasing access to assessment and appropriate care and treatment Work collaboratively with multi professional teams to ensure practice is efficient, effective, evidence based and safe FOR FULL JOB DESCRIPTION SEE ATTACHMENT
