Summary
Homelessness Project Workers needed in Haringey, £16ph PAYE - Reference: RQ1704989
- Manage telephone, email, and face‑to‑face communication with residents, professionals, and members of the public seeking help.
- Provide non‑judgemental, empathetic communication to reduce distress and anxiety for people facing homelessness.
- Deliver high‑quality support, information and signposting focused on clients’ strengths and goals, using active engagement and person‑centred planning.
- Carry out comprehensive client assessments, identifying priorities, needs, risks, assets, and move‑on options.
- Assist clients with claims for housing benefit, welfare benefits, EU Settled Status and/or in‑work benefits.
- Organise and conduct key‑working activities that encourage engagement and promote ongoing support.
- Liaise with pathway services and accommodation providers to ensure people have a good quality, safe, welcoming home.
- Promote health and wellbeing services, including mental health support, GP access, and Covid‑19‑related interventions; make referrals when appropriate.
- Keep up to date with housing legislation, welfare benefit rules, and other relevant issues impacting client support and move‑on.
- Work with various agencies to ensure access to statutory, non‑statutory, and community support.
This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
